Elien shook her head and straightened up. "Wow...you must get a kick out of that." she said, still laughing a little.

"Let me guess, you are beginning to envy me for being who I am... a goddess. People only see the power, not the sacrifices. You just aren't any different." Edana turned away, tears stinging her eyes. She brushed them away angrily, Goddesses should never cry.

Elien shrugged "Well of course I envy you, it's only natural for a 'mortal'. But I like myself the way I am right now."

"You see all those people out there, the girls that cower away from me, that jeer at me behind my back? They hate me, for being a goddess. Everybody hates me. They say,'She's not special, why should she be a goddess? Why should she be immortal?' They hate me for something I hate myself. But they can't realize how awful it is, all they see is immortality and [glow=red,2,300]'cosmic power'[/glow]." Edana glared around, scaring the people staring at her. Doubtless they thought Goddesses did not become angry and sad, doubtless they thought she had the emotions of a rock. Suddenly she was quiet, "They don't understand. They never understand." Edana stared at her hands, her slippery scaly fishlike hands. "Excuse me, I need to go." Edana turned tail and fled, out of the hall, out of the castle, to the deep cool lake.((pretty good eh? ))

((I have joined up in this rp now. I will post this charrie later on the character board but since I cant stay on long, I will just describe him as best I can here.))
Maniku leaned against a wall, away the loud conversing of the ball room, outside, his head tilted up to gaze at the night sky, the moon's eerie light relfecting off the pale skin of his face. The shock of red hair that hung down just above the middle of his back did not fit soeone with such ghostly pale yet fair looking skin. He was dressed in a black silk shirt, unbottoned at the top and a pair of dark blue dress pants, leather belt around his waist. A dagger hung from the rear of the belt as well and most people shot him strange looks for this. But Maniku didn't care. He had his reasons.

Elien didn't want to fallow her, that would probobly only make her feel worse. Instead, she thew an apple she got from the food table thing at a girl who had stared at her leaving.

She slipped into the icy lake after ripping off her dress. Her legs fused together to become a shimmering bluegreen tail. Her hair was streaked with blue, her skin tinged with a faint aqua. She dove and her eyes covered with a membrane, to keep the water out. She twirled and spun under the waves, burning away her fury in the placid water. Eda floated to the surface, her body lifted just barely above of the water. Her hair covered most of her but her flowery top bloomed in the water, the blue roses opening fully in the liquid. This was bliss.

Elien also threw a couple apples at all the people who watched the lake. "Creeps." she muttered.

Eda wondered how far she could get before her parents would find her and bring her back. perhaps she could find a way out. Perhaps there was soemone who could see her not as a immortal Goddess, but as a warm-blooded person, with every feeling you could have and more. She dove down and came to rest on the bottom. The fish swam around her in droves, cushioning her. She cried, salty tears that floated around her in the fresh water.

((Uh...okay )) Elien sighed, after everyone had stopped staring at the lake expectantly. And she decided to go for a swim, to give Eda some company. She walked over to the lake and took her dress off, and of course, she had her fighting clothes on. And she walked in until it was up to her waist then dove in.

Eda tensed. She felt something in the water. Swimming sliently throught the water she saw Elien and skyrocketed over to Elien. "Hello." The word echoed around in the water. She waved her hand around Elien's throat and put one hand on her neck. Elien could now breath under water.
