Musashi sat on the top of a building, his legs dangling over the side and his head bobbing almost mechanically to the loud metal music blaring in his ears. His long ponytil was lay in the form of a lightning bolt behind him and the usual grin was plastered onto his face. He had no idea what today would bring but he didn't care.

It was a whistful day.Lei glanced round and all about her.Things never seemed to change.Thousands of years and there were still people.Still cities...still demons.and those demons just couldn't seem to let her go.She limped patheticaly,as if trying to conceil it but not doing a very good job.Her hair was wet and she put a hand behind it to look at her own blood.wincing a little she kept on moving forward while keeping her eyes averted.Normally Lei already made a scene.Throughout those years she never changed her clothing.Most thought her a nut for it.The limp caused new interest.

Mushashi caught a glimps of the limping girl down below. He got up and leaned over the side of the building, gazing down at her for a few more moments befor e taking a mighty leap. He grabbeda lampost in mid air, swung aroud it a few times before letting go and and dropping to the ground. He landed with a thud behind t5he girl and tapped her shoulder. "'Scuse me miss, but are yoyu awright?" He asked, taking his head phones of his skull and placing them around his neck.

Lei felt her arm coming swinging back to hit him but she quickly stopped it and made it look as if she were coughing." Thought you were another demon." The girl muttered.Turning round she blinked slowly as if tired and then hid her hand.IT still had the blood on it." I'm...alright." Unfortunately her voice hardly sounded it." Look....I don't see how you can do much about it so thankyou but I might as well cover more ground before more come mister....." She paused slightly and then shrugged.

Musashi paused before putting his hands behind his head. "Demons? Those things gave you a beating?" He asked. It sounded as if he was surprised. "Those things attack anyone for any reason, or none, that is why you have to havea sharp eye and quick thinking." He muttered and shrugged. "Alright, I'll walk with you, what's your name?" He asked her. And he didn't leave her much choice. He saiid it like he would come with her no matter what.

She sighed heavily before continueing to walk." Believe me...they have a reason." The girl didn't hint to anymore but stood silent for some time." I suppose it won't hurt." She finally said." My name is Lei." She looked about a bit nervously and gulped.Her throat was dry.For a second her eyes looked at him fleetingly and then with a faint smile she turned into an alley." home sweet...." Lei couldn't bring herself to say the rest of that stupid phrase." Really tis just where I find it.A place to hide at night.This alley is as good as the next.I'd offer you a drink but I don't have one myself."

Musashi shook his head and smiled slightly. "Don't wory about it, but your hospitality is awesome." He said, smile turning into a grin. He looked around and nodded. "Looks comfy." He stated and looked back to her. "Oh yeah, the names Musashi, good to meet you Lei." He said nodding in greeting. He had saw her hand and figured it best if she didn't use it.

"Nice to meet You Musashi,now I'll just be a minute." Without any more she walked out the alley and vanished.Lei was standing at a corner.It was right there.But so was the shopkeeper.Looking round and glancing at her bloody hand she moved and then was gone.It had been more difficult than usual.Returning silently to the alley it was a wonder.No one ever heard her as she moved.The limp had made it worse but she still managed to conceil the sound."Here." She tossed a bottle of water towards him and started checking about.The next moment she was grinning from ear to ear.She pulled an old and rather dirty matress out with a look on her face as if christmas had come.Then she took off her boot and rolled up her sleeves.It seemed that the hand and foot were well...mauled.The cold water seemed to help a bit though." So what are you ? "Lei asked while washing the blood away.

Musashi watched her with an arched eyebrow but hs shrugged. It was not a unusual thing to see homeless folks around here. Like he was one to talk. He grinned and made a fist. "I am a samurai, born and bred." He said, pride flowing from his voice. He looked at her hand and leg and frowned, nodding to them he asked. "Hey, why did they do that to you anyway?"

She looked up after his little thing before sighing." so your human then I suppose ? d**n lucky." She winced again and put the boot back on." Bandages would help but It'll go away soon enough." Looking at the hand though she sighed." Like I said before , your lucky.They attack me because of what I am." Shaking the little water bottle in hand she drank most of what was left before pooring the rest onto her head.

Elien was on the same street as Musashi and Lei. She was laying ontop of lampost, her arms crossed behind her head anime style. She had an angry expresion on her face. The reason you ask? She was blackmailed to wear a fluffy pink halo on her head all day long or else her 'pal' Zac would take her microwave apart. "Oh I'll get him for this." she said, then yelled a slur of swear words at a group of ten-year olds laughing at her, causing them to run away, still laughing.

Musashi thingyed his head to one side and shoved his hands into his pockets, sighing. "Human? I wouldn't put it like that but, yeah, sort of." He said quietly. He looked at her and frowned again. "So, are you a half demon or something?" He asked. He knew of the treatement half demons got around here. Almost too well.

She let the water fall over and nodded." Half demon half shapeshifter . You can figure the rest . So obviously this treatments normal." It seemed sad that being attacked your whole life could be normal to someone.But then the world was hardly just.

Musashi nodded. "Yeah, unfortunatly." He said quietly. He hated the demons for what hey do. Killing and causing pain just because they think they are a superior race. He scoffed and spat on the ground. "Stupid bunch of gits, outta teach the lot of them a lesson." He muttered darkly.

Lei remained quiet for a moment and then sighed." They can't all be bad.One of them loved my mother didn't he ? So not all of them can be as bad as people think." she seemed a little startled at defending them.Even more so at speaking about her past.Sitting down the girl with mixed blood curled up like a dog might." At least my bed will not be hard tonight." something everyone should be thankful she thought.
